UI for Ability
I have created a short diagram to show the elements the player would make use of.
I decided I needed a quick way to convey what power level an ability has, what element is ascribed to it, and what it does.
I eventually came to the conclusion that the easiest but still visually appealing way to do so would be to shape the icons as circles.
There is a base circle with the icon showing what the ability is in the middle, surrounded by either a red, blue, or purple ring.
Red and blue indicate the ability's power level (in terms of damage, and mana usage), high and low respectively.
Purple indicates its being a movement ability.
In the lower right of the big circle now formed, will be the elemental icon. This will be one of six options, shown in the "Particles" illustration.
