How will it look in-game?


In the first image, I created an idea of how a scene in the game will look within Photoshop.

The player spawns on the left side, facing right to the enemies which face left. On the UI, there is a portrait of the player in the bottom left. Abilities are displayed further along, with 5 possible slots. Greyed out icons mean an empty slot. Mana is displayed next to this, with a maximum value of 20.

In the second image, I used some assets from this Photoshop ideation I made and put them into Unity to craft a scene in-game, as well as created a pixel art sprite for my player character.  I added a red capsule to represent an enemy in the game. I implemented my UI bar from the ideation into Unity, with the player's portrait in the bottom left. I will add in the ability icons another time, and add the Mana indicator.

(I am considering just using the illustrated avatar from the first image instead, in being more consistent with the game's art style, in backgrounds, etc.)
